Longsys will present its first industrial-grade, wide-temperature mSSD at electronica 2026 in Munich, alongside a broader range of automotive and industrial storage for edge AI. The trade show runs from November 10 to 13, according to the company.

Key points
  • Longsys will unveil its first industrial-grade, wide-temperature mSSD at electronica 2026, held November 10-13 in Munich.
  • The mSSD uses SiP technology to integrate the controller, flash memory and passive components in one package, avoiding SMT assembly, according to the company.
  • Longsys will also show automotive and industrial UFS, eMMC, LPDDR and SPI NAND Flash, plus Lexar products.
  • Live demos cover AISSD, AIDIMM and HLCache UFS for on-device AI.
  • The booth is C2.459 in Hall C2 at Messe München.

A new mSSD built with system-in-package technology

The centerpiece of Longsys's presence at the show is an mSSD that the company describes as its first industrial-grade, wide-temperature model. According to Longsys, it is built on system-in-package (SiP) technology, which integrates the controller, flash memory and passive components into a single package.

The company says this approach removes the need for surface-mount technology (SMT) assembly and reduces material use and manufacturing process requirements. Longsys also states that, because the design eliminates the solder joints associated with conventional PCB assembly, it removes the associated risk of solder-joint failures.

Longsys adds that the product offers water resistance, dust protection and shock resistance, giving it what it calls inherent industrial-grade reliability and wide-temperature operating capability. The company also says the design and manufacturing take environmental considerations into account, supporting more sustainable industrial applications.

Automotive and industrial portfolio

Beyond the mSSD, Longsys will show a portfolio of automotive-grade and industrial-grade storage. The product types named in the announcement are:

  • UFS
  • eMMC
  • LPDDR
  • SPI NAND Flash

Lexar, which Longsys describes as its high-end consumer storage brand, will show dashcam USB drives and memory cards, along with industrial-grade SD and microSD solutions. According to the company, these products support applications including intelligent cockpits, ADAS, industrial control and rail transit.

Live demos for on-device AI

Longsys plans live demonstrations of AISSD, AIDIMM and HLCache UFS. The company says these show storage form factors and solutions designed to optimize data access, model loading and cache acceleration for on-device AI. In its words, they are meant to help simplify system design, improve inference responsiveness and enhance system stability.

The company frames the showing around a shift of AI from the cloud to edge devices. In the announcement, Longsys argues that edge AI creates new demands for storage. Automotive and industrial applications need high bandwidth, high endurance and reliable operation across wide temperature ranges and harsh environments, while supporting real-time perception and AI inference. Storage, it says, is no longer just a data repository but a critical foundation for reliable on-device AI.

Where to find Longsys

Visitors can find Longsys at Booth C2.459 in Hall C2 at Messe München. The announcement does not give pricing, availability dates or performance figures for the new mSSD or the demonstrated products, so those details are likely to emerge at the show or in later communications.

For buyers in automotive and industrial markets, the announcement signals how the company is positioning its storage for edge AI workloads: reliability in harsh conditions and simpler system design are the main selling points it highlights. Longsys, founded in 1999 and listed as 301308.SZ and 09976.HK, describes itself as a globally leading branded semiconductor memory enterprise.
