Named a Leader in Three Categories
ISG listed Ascendion as a leader in Strategy and Consulting Services, Development and Deployment Services, and Agentic AI Services. The assessment is part of the 2026 global ISG Provider Lens reports on generative AI services and agentic AI services.
According to a statement from the AI-native software engineering company, which is based in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, the recognition shows that Ascendion is focused on one of the central challenges of enterprise AI adoption. That challenge is turning demonstration-stage solutions into production systems that people can control, trust and use to improve their work.
AAVA Governs Agents and Workflows
ISG highlighted Ascendion's engineering-led approach to AI transformation, as well as the company's proprietary agentic platform, AAVA. According to the statement, the platform supports the governance and coordination of AI agents, workflows and enterprise engineering environments.
AAVA allows customers to use the models, tools and technology environments of their choice while applying unified controls and integrating AI throughout the software development lifecycle. In Ascendion's approach, agentic AI is built on controlled task delegation, flexible technology selection and human accountability.
Gowtham Sampath, ISG assistant director and lead analyst, said Ascendion stands out for the breadth and maturity of its AI capabilities, spanning strategy and consulting, development and deployment, and agentic AI. The ISG analyst also highlighted the company's engineering expertise, AAVA's capabilities and its flexible approach to enterprise technology environments as a practical foundation for scaling AI across complex organizations.
AI-Native Roles Prepare Systems for Production Use
According to Ascendion, AAVA's capabilities are complemented by AI-native delivery roles designed for use in production environments. The company's 10x Engineers apply AI at different points in the software development lifecycle. Forward Deployment Engineers connect the customer's context with architecture and implementation, while Agentic Delivery Managers oversee human and AI-powered work in complex programs.
Karthik Krishnamurthy, CEO of Ascendion, said the real test of enterprise AI is whether it can deliver results at scale and in production while operating with the right controls. He said: “That requires bringing strategy, engineering, AI agents and people together in a single operating model.” The CEO said AAVA provides governance and transparency for this model while accelerating work and reducing risk.
The Company Works With More Than 250 Enterprise Customers
According to its own company profile, Ascendion delivers business outcomes for more than 250 enterprise customers. The company combines expert engineers, AI agents and the AAVA platform to design, develop and operate production-ready software that improves everyday work and life.
According to the profile included in ISG's statement, the technology research and advisory firm works with more than 900 customers, including 75 of the world's 100 largest companies. Ascendion's recognition draws attention to the part of enterprise AI services where governance, engineering execution and human responsibility are as much a part of deployment as models and agents.
