UCB chooses Veeva’s agent-based CRM
Veeva Systems said on 4 November 2026 that UCB had chosen Veeva Vault CRM, its customer engagement platform for the life sciences industry. The companies described the selection as part of their strategic relationship, with UCB transitioning to Vault CRM.
Edwin Erckens, UCB’s chief digital technology officer, said the move would give the company a technological foundation for commercial execution. Chris Moore, president of Veeva Europe, described Vault CRM as a stable, scalable platform designed to support UCB’s commercial strategy and future requirements.
Industry-specific AI and commercial intelligence
Vault CRM includes artificial intelligence designed for the life sciences sector. Veeva says those capabilities are intended to help accelerate product launches and create better customer experiences.
The platform is part of Vault CRM Suite, which Veeva describes as the technology foundation for agent-based commercial activity. One component, Vault CRM’s Agentic Call Reporting, generates commercial evidence that can help identify treatment barriers that previously remained hidden.
The announcement does not provide details about UCB’s implementation timetable, the number of users involved or the financial terms of the agreement.
What the selection means for UCB and Veeva
For UCB, the move places customer engagement and commercial execution on a platform that Veeva says is built specifically for life sciences. The company’s stated aim is to create a unified customer interaction model worldwide while using AI and commercial evidence to support its activities.
For Veeva, the agreement adds UCB to the organizations using its industry cloud. Veeva says it serves more than 1,500 organizations, ranging from the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies to emerging biotechnology companies. Its offering includes applications, agents, data and consulting services.
Veeva also cautioned that statements about expected product benefits and results are forward-looking statements based on its current expectations. The company said actual results could differ substantially and pointed to risks described in its fiscal-year 2026 Form 10-Q and later filings with the SEC.
